Exciting Changes coming June 6th

Scopa first opened May of 2014, in the North West community of Tuxedo Park. The restaurant has luckily grown with success since the first evening of service, building a strong base of loyal and loved customers. This June further investment has been made into the restaurant with a new look, name, feel, brand, website and dining room style. We know only too well the challenges in the restaurant trade, but have been incredibly lucky to enjoy a solid local loyalty from Tuxedo Park and surrounding communities. Our regulars support what we do 12 months of the year and for this we are very grateful.

With the latest investment in our business, we are making a strong commitment to continue to build our relationships with our regulars and visitors, our current staff is excited about the change and will be there on opening day to welcome you. Scopa will reopen for service on June 6th as Cibo Centre St. Come and celebrate with us on Neighbourhood Day, June 16th for a community party to see our newly styled dining room, more details to follow. Our new website will be live on May 31st, at cibocalgary.com with more changes planned throughout the year with a strong emphasis on delicious affordable food. Photos of the dining space will be available June 6th, 2018.

Scopa is thrilled to announce these exciting changes at the beginning of June 2018, we will have a small two day closure on June 4th and 5th to make some final changes for Cibo Centre St. Our cousin location, Cibo 17th Ave has been open for six years offering Calgary causal Italian flare with amazing daily specials and its famous $5 pizza happy hour. It will continue to be a part of the Creative Restaurants family, who has been operating restaurants in Calgary for the past 20 years, Cibo Centre St will continue to support our local food community using fresh local ingredients with an Italian flare.

Executive Chef Glen Manzer shares that the restaurant will offer affordable appetizing brunch, lunch and dinner menus with fresh weekend features. They will be bring in nightly food and drink specials as well as the a $5 pizza happy hour with $4 beer and $4 wine from 2:30-4:30.

You can expect the menu to be similar in style of Cibo 17th Ave, with Scodellina/Antipasti dishes that are perfect for sharing, pizza and pasta, and entrees that are all flavour and value driven. The pizza dough will be different at each location as we know how much you love our previous dough, so we’ve only enhanced it a little. Reservations can be made through Scopa’s Open Table account which will switch over to Cibo on the 6th of June with no change to any reservations currently scheduled.
